Intro to Rock‘n’Lolo
Wednesday, July 27th @ 10:30am
Come get a preview of the Rock’n’Lolo curriculum at National Sawdust! The intro classes are 45 minutes long, full of singing and dancing while learning Spanish, and most importantly, having fun! For toddlers, learning to use their voice starts with imitating sounds and experimenting with as many sounds as they can produce. Rock’n’Lolo classes are intended for toddlers up to 4 years old, and each lesson is designed to provide kids with a rich set of new activities and material to help keep the kids engaged in the process. As your child is inspired and motivated through singing and dancing, my program will also be helping to build your child’s confidence, self-control, and early Spanish language skills through repetitions and engaging melodies.

Joanna Wallfisch Album Release
Sunday, July 31st @ 7pm
Critically acclaimed singer and composer Joanna Wallfisch celebrates the release of Gardens In My Mind, her newest recording for Sunnyside Records. Featuring her signature pure vocals, poetic lyrics and lush arrangements for string quartet and piano,Gardens is an intricate collection of originals and reinterpretations. In her inimitable way, Wallfisch blurs the boundaries between the classical, jazz and singer-songwriter worlds. “[With her] clear-eyed poetry Wallfisch combines the intimate purview of a singer-songwriter with the technical liberties of a jazz improviser, crossing boarders and flouting rules” (The Boston Globe). In this special performance at National Sawdust she will be joined by the Solar String Quartet and Jesse Elder on piano.
