Thea Little investigates the hybrid of performance art, dance-theater and experimental music with solos and group works. She has presented throughout the U.S. and Europe. Little has done choreographic residencies in Europe, The Lanchonete Residency in Sao Paolo, Brazil, the LEIMAY Fellowship, the LiftOff New Dance Alliance Residency, and the 100 Bogart Residency with Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation. She has most recently shown work in the Beaux Arts Court of The Brooklyn Museum, the SOAK Festival, The Performance Mix31 Festival, and The Exponential Festival and she recently created and produced two sold out evening-length works at CPR – Center for Performance Research in April. This Summer Little will be joining Peter Sciscioli and 18 International artists as part of the Moving Arts Lab and International Interdisciplinary Artists Consortium (IIAC) Residency at Earthdance. Thea received her MFA in Dance from Hollins University/ADF and her BA from Columbia University. She is a self-taught composer as well and composes for her own works and for other choreographers like LEIMAY, Karen Harvey Dances, Joya Powell and Moving Theater. Since 2013, Little has co-directed a multi-disciplinary arts residency in Ct called IMAR. She is proud to be on the Advisory Board of New Dance Alliance as well as being a National Sawdust Artist-in-Residence this year of 2018-2019.
