PETER ZUSPAN

Peter is a founding principal of the multi-disciplinary design studio Bureau V, whose work ranges from cultural and commercial projects to performances, installations, and events. Bureau V projects have been exhibited or performed at the Guggenheim Museum, the Venice Biennale of Art, Inhotim, the Sophiensaele, the Performa Biennial, and Los Angeles’s REDCAT Theater.

Peter has given lectures and participated in panel discussions at Columbia University, the University of Kentucky, Performa, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and other cultural and academic institutions.

From 2008-2014, Peter was an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Barnard / Columbia Undergraduate Architecture Program, where he taught design studios, lecture and seminar courses. He has also taught architecture at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Design, Syracuse University School of Architecture, and at the University of Kentucky College of Design.

He was the Architectural Editor of the arts journal Museo Magazine, and has worked as a new media specialist and designer at Diller Scofido + Renfro.

Peter’s collaborative work, ranging from architecture to performance and installations, has been exhibited and performed at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Smithsonian Institute, the Zentrum für Kunst und Mediatechnologie, the National Design Museum, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, and Klaus von Nichtssagend gallery.

Peter holds a Bachelors of Arts and Master of Architecture from Columbia University (2001, 2005). He is also a trained opera singer.
