Alyana Vera currently serves as the Community Marketing and Editorial Manager at National Sawdust. Alyana’s background in political science and passion for music has shaped her career trajectory. Before joining National Sawdust, Alyana worked primarily as a music writer, running her own newsletter and contributing to both print and online outlets like AdHoc, The Family Reviews, Slumber Mag, and more. Alyana is also a worker-owner at the patronage co-op Ampled, where she serves as the editor of the zine. Alyana’s work is deeply influenced by liberation struggles around the world and she hopes to contribute to National Sawdust’s mission of creating more just and joyful futures through art by centering diverse perspectives and voices.
