One of NY Magazine’s “Top 10 Classical Music Performances of 2012

SKYFUL will be a celebration of space through a site specific peformance by guest and resident artists.

Performances by OMW residents: Brooklyn Rider Quartet, Talea Ensemble, and a kite/flute live installation “Inverted Sky” by visual artist Erika Harrsch featuring new works by acclaimed composers Julian Wachner and Mario Diaz de Leon, with performances by ICE flutists, Claire Chase and Eric Lamb. Special guests Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, violinist/composer Cornelius Dufallo, grammy nominated Mexican vocalist Magos Herrera and visionary Spanish multi instrumentalist and frequent Almodovar collaborator, Javier Limón join. The evening will close with Inverted Sky: the kites will fly where the finished roof to OMW will one day be, engaging the audience in the endless possibilities of the space.
