Juana Luna

With roots in Buenos Aires and a home base in Brooklyn, Juana Luna is a cantora, composer and community artist. Her musical style navigates traditional Argentinean music as well as world music, boleros and jazz, both as a performer and a teaching artist. She has been commisioned songs and compositions for Berklee Press and Carnegie Hall amongst others. Her vast experience singing and composing music for the young ones has brought her to be part of the team of “Big Note Little Note” at Carnegie Hall. She is also part of “The Lullaby Project”, from the same institution, where she explores the power of this ancient type of song, together with other artists and mothers around the world.Luna graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2013 (she holds a B.A  in Contemporary Writing and Production). That same year she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she still lives,  surrounded by a community of friends and musicians that she loves and makes music with. Currently she is a cast member for Camille's Rainbow, an experimental baby opera presented at Carnegie Hall during the last week of October 2022. Juana will also participate (with her band) in Lincoln Center's Open house weekend celebrating the opening of the David Geffen Hall.
