Composer Anna Clyne wrote The Violin upon the loss of her mother. This piece, Blue Hour, forms part of the suite of works with titles inspired by poetry her mother wrote in the last year of her life. Performed here by Neil Dufallo and Amy Kauffman, with animations by Josh Dorman, as part of an Ex-Situ series of concerts prior to National Sawdust’s opening.
