THE REVOLUTION is an emerging musical series that highlights artists and musicians that not only represent the core of independent pop culture in 2016 but who are standing in the breeding ground of an evolution within their genre. As a part of VOL. 7, The Revolution will feature three incredible live performances from NYC based artists:
Raia Was | Iris Lune | Courtnee Roze
RAIA WAS
Brooklyn based vocalist and composer, electronic music with roots in improvisation.
IRIS LUNE
As influenced by Bjork as they are Salvador Dali, Iris Lune’s music is pop without boundaries. A foray into the cross-pollination of electronic and acoustic, the band builds off of vocalist Ella Joy Meir’s roots in Middle Eastern and Israeli folk music to craft a sound that stretches into the surreal, drawing comparisons to acts such as Radiohead, James Blake, and Hundred Waters.
“Iris Lune don’t really sound like anything you’ve heard… Every listen is fascinating.” | The Line Of Best Fit
“Dramatic and dynamic… rich in images, and unusual in its sonic palate.” | Pigeons and Planes
