About
Much of the charm of a place like Brooklyn comes from discovering what secret events hide inside seemingly mundane brick buildings with colorful street art plastered on their walls. Wandering the streets of Brooklyn’s culturally booming neighborhoods you may ask yourself, “What exclusive functions could I attend if I were lucky enough to be in-the-know?” -Soundigest

Juwan Crawley is an American singer, actor, lyricist, composer, and writer. Though he has always worked in the arts in various forms, music has proved to be the conduit that best expresses the soul of Juwan’s voice and message. Juwan started writing music as a response to the killings of innocent black American citizens by police. His first single, Blood Red, talks about the ties of humanity and the responsibility we have to each other. As a black gay man, with a surprisingly high voice, Juwan has an intrinsic understanding of what it is to be other, and yet because of his peculiar talents an understanding of what it is to be wanted. Through this confusion and joy Juwan continued to write music, attempting to express that which tethers us together, and that which repels us away from each other, self love, spirituality, and fucking fun. Juwan has been seen on Broadway in Aladdin, and Off Broadway in the original cast of Spamilton. He co-starred on Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as Hudson.
