Tooth Cutter is a cutting-edge brass band featuring some of NYC’s best horn players. Assembled in the summer of 2019 by SAUCE co-producer and musician Martin Movagh, they will be performing covers and originals across a wide array of genres. This performance will include the music of Thundercat, Solange, the Beatles, Grizzly Bear, and many more. Their performance will also feature Imani Duhe of Mani and the Wildflowers and Rose Generoso of Tabemono on vocals.
Rose Generoso is a second-gen Pilipinx-American cyborg, musician, and weaver. She has spent most of her life on Lenape lands while bearing Ilokanx-Visayan roots. She has been working towards refining her ritual and manifesting her fantasies, utilizing sound, visuals, and movement to facilitate embodiment of joy and healing. Her most recent works include collaborations within collectives Walang Hiya, Raised Pinay, and Tabemono.
Justin Hood is an American artist who’s primary focus is sound, light and poetry. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, his work as a creative director spans across several industries. Taking a contemporary approach to collaging visual media with immersive music compositions, he creates evocative narratives through words, color and texture.
Amina Iro, a Prince George’s Country, MD native, is a Nigerian-American poet, writer, and performer. She holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Neurobiology and English Creative Writing. Amina has performed at prestigious venues including the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, the Washington Convention Center, the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, IL, and the State Theatre in Tshwane, South Africa. She has held writing workshops in England and has performed on live television and radio stations in Nigeria. Her work can be found on Beltway Poetry Quarterly and Dreginald.
