Yuan Liu
Yuan Liu is a filmmaker, technology and art researcher and curator. She has been a resident researcher and artist at Waag Society in Amsterdam and Museum of Human Achievement in Austin Texas. She has also been the official video journalist for The Last Weekend, The Internet Week NYC and Eyebeam Art and Technology. Her experimental cinema and video installations are known to feature improvised musicians and composers based in Brooklyn. She make these videos inside of an old schoolhouse where she lives of which she incorporates molecular bio techniques as video effects. Yuan is interested in magnifying surrealism in visual art in a free form. Each piece is a mathematical contemplation on the social cache behind the individuation process of a quixotic way of life.
