This program is presented by National Sawdust’s 2017/2018 Artists-in-Residence: Choral Chameleon.
Choral Chameleon’s final installment of their 2018 3-part ‘Mind, Body, Spirit’ series concludes its exploration of the singer with MIND, a showcase of contemporary works for choir themed around the intellectual journey of a singer, one fraught with endless self-questioning, trust issues, and of course, ultra-precise technical training. Take a tumultuous journey with the choir and hear many works unique to the groundbreaking ensemble. Adam Ward’s pivotal “Gradus ad Parnassum” for Vocal ensemble, Cello, and Narrators headlines the performance, with other world premieres by all of Choral Chameleon’s prior composers-in-residence: Joseph Gregorio, Rex Isenberg and Jeffrey Parola. Composer Joseph Stillwell will also premiere a new work.
