Yaz Lancaster (they/them/theirs) is an interdisciplinary artist committed to supporting marginalized identities, genuine modes of collaboration, and practices aligned with relational aesthetics. Their concentrated and empirical work almost always reckons with a specific influence like politics of identity and liberation, poetry, natural phenomena, or landscapes of memory. Yaz has had the privilege and opportunity to build community with many wonderful artists and friends, and to both present and perform in a wide range of settings across the US, Canada, Czechia, and Trinidad and Tobago. They hold degrees in violin and poetry from New York University. Yaz loves art museums, chess, and bubble tea.
