Manjing Zhang

Manjing Zhang is a Chinese composer and pianist currently based in Minneapolis. Zhang started her music training at the age of five on piano, and then moved to composition at age fourteen. Zhang holds a bachelor's degree from Central Conservatory of Music 中央音乐学院, 中国北 and a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Music Composition at the University of Minnesota. Her primary composition mentors were Xiaogang Ye, Wenchen Qin, Shuai Zhang, Alex Lubet, and Reza Vali.
