With over fifteen years “behind the stage” experience in the performing arts and working with some of the most prestigious artists from Broadway to the concert hall, Courtenay has managed and produced productions ranging from elaborate world premieres to intimate workshops, including 10 operas in National Sawdust’s intimate and state-of-the-art venue as well as a free virtual reality operatic experience (Prestini’s Hubble Cantata) in partnership with Celebrate Brooklyn and Beth Morrison Projects. She has developed and implemented an artist in residency program that has supported more than 30 artists with dedicated and in-kind funds nearing a total of $1M. She spent over 5 years in Artistic Planning at New York Philharmonic and was the Managing Director of VisionIntoArt- a multimedia production company which presented works at BAM, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Barbican Centre, which has now merged with National Sawdust as NS Projects.
